One more day of bonding

Zhanna giggling!

play room.

Hello! Today was a busy day--the social worker called and we had to be in the Ministry of Education office within the hour. I only spent 1 hour with Zhanna this morning and went to the meeting. It is kind of like a "pre-trial court" I guess. The Minister of Education of Karaganda was there, as well as the social worker and 2 other people who appeared to be high ranking officials. They asked many questions about me, my home life, what I would be able to provide for Zhanna, why I chose Kazakhstan, etc. Lena went to translate, and said it went very well. The social worker--never did catch her name--said it also went well, and she would be in court on Tuesday to "be of support on my behalf for the adoption and would recommend it to the judge." Sounds very promising, although the final decision is up to the judge--only 6 days away now! It really does seem like the time is flying believe it or not!
In the morning, you give the baby juice--yes from a bottle. The caregivers use a sippy cup with no top, but the new moms get to use a bottle--for the sake of all involved! Today was raspberry apple--which she liked much better than the blueberry apple she had yesterday. I am also assuming that the raspberry apple will be somewhat easier to get out of my shirt!
Will keep you posted--enjoy the pictures!
