Hello everyone!! Today we had to go to the Notary again to sign papers. The papers turned out to be the official invitation for Zhanna Grace Kasianczuk to come to the United States to live with her new mother!!! Zhanna celebrated and got all dressed up in the new red dress her "Papa" (grandfather) picked out for her. She loved it--notice the big smile??
The weather here has been absolutely beautiful--high 30's and not a cloud in the sky. We didn't go for a walk today--the roads and sidewalks have 6" ruts in the ice because of melting. That makes for some difficult travel in the stroller!! We played indoors this afternoon and are working on the "crawling" thing. She also has a great deal of confidence in her walking ability since she has been using a walker for so long. Trying to slowly wean the walker and spend time both on the floor and walking with much assistance. She is able to bear weight and walk with assistance, but is accustomed to just sitting when tired with or with out the walker under her.
The lady from next door came over--her name is Shora--and I answered the door in my bare feet. I'm not sure our relationship will ever be the same. Even with the language barrier my mom and I were able to understand that people should NEVER be barefoot. I also learned the hard way that babies need hoods on despite heavy hats and scarfs. Hoods, socks and slippers are not optional here.
