Dinner photos

Dinner!
Hello all! Today was a great day--Zhanna is feeling better, the fever is gone, but no signs of teeth yet. Wanted to share a photo of dinner--we have tried everything, but as you can see, the best way seems to be in the walker, wedged under the kitchen table, and between my legs so she can't run and play. It actually is a relief to see her playing with her food (right now anyway!) because in the orphanage it is a "feeding frenzy" because if you don't eat fast enough, its on to the next tyke. The caregivers are wonderful, but each can only feed one at a time, with 10 more babies screaming to eat. Zhanna would scream if I didn't get another mouthful in before she swallowed the first one. She seems to trust that I will not move on--she gets my undivided attention. That is, until I need to divide it to the laundry, floor and walker duty. My dogs will have a heyday with an infant around. Speaking of dogs having a hayday, what are those teething buscuits really for? We tried one today, and I swear the only people that benefit are the makers, Heinz, in this case, and possibly the Merry Maids. Not sure we will do that again--there are fingerprints and chunks all over the apartment. And still no teeth.
We also decided to go for a walk, since it was 22F today. I still have a great deal to learn--and Zhanna is just the one for the job. I woke her up from her afternoon nap to go for a walk. Okay, lesson number one--never wake a sleeping infant after 20min nap. Second, wear clothes that fit under the snow suit--her out fit was fleece, very thick, and way too big. The snow suit was tight with all of those clothes--guess too many layers. Well, she let me know that she was not happy. She screamed, kicked, and sobbed when she couldn't move. She looked like she was ready to be hung on the cross with her arms straight out, the only thing she could do is throw her head back like she was flying. It was a very short walk. We will try again tomorrow--if she wants to.
Anyway, need to write quickly--the internet works on a phone card, and when times up, times up. You are disconnected with no warning. Will attempt to get a new card tomorrow---if Zhanna wants to (LOL)!!
